After our log building class and a great visit with
our friends and family in Minnesota, we headed down the Great River Road,
Hwy 61 down the Mississippi. Starting in the Twin Cities, we wandered
down the River through Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri,
Tennessee, and Louisiana. On the way, we sucked down soul food in Memphis,
toured Vicksburg and Graceland, and consumed twice our body weight in
crawdads in New Orleans.

The long and winding road starts straight enough,
but you'd be surprised how easy it is to lose the Mississippi!

The Grotto is entirely made up of shells,
rocks, pottery shards and honors God and Patriotism.
It would also help you work out that you were in Midwest,
if you were ever kidnapped and left in the area.

In Clarksville, MO, we stopped and talked to local

The Cabildo in New Orleans is where the Louisiana purchase
was signed. It's also nearby our beignet breakfast at Cafe
Du Monde.
